Who We Are

Cari Patterson, Jean Robinson-Dexter, and Vicki Crowell worked together for several years with Sharing Strengths, an organization with a mandate to build on community capacity to promote the health of children and youth in western Nova Scotia. In October 2002, due to funding constraints, the nature of our employment with Sharing Strengths changed, and Jean and Cari formed Horizons Community Development Associates Inc., a consulting business with a focus on helping communities achieve their goals.

Based in Nova Scotia and serving Atlantic Canada, our team of consultants and support staff offer value-added services to a broad range of clients, including those in the health and recreation sectors, government agencies, not-for-profit organizations, and businesses.

Horizons' team members have complementary skills and a solid understanding of each other's strengths and abilities. We know how to maximize our collective contributions to any project we take on, and have a reputation as a solid team that produces excellent quality work.
