Nova Scotia Department of Health Promotion & Protection
– Nova Scotia Injury Prevention Strategy Evaluation Framework
In March 2005, Horizons completed a contract for the Nova Scotia Injury
Prevention Strategy where we worked with a large group of injury prevention
stakeholders to develop a logic model and five-year evaluation framework
for the overall provincial strategy. For this project, we: worked with
an evaluation steering committee; conducted a scan of evaluation literature/methods;
consulted with a large group of cross-sector stakeholders (via a workshop
consultation); revised the framework and logic model based on our collective
evaluation expertise; presented the drafts to stakeholders for feedback
before they were finalized; and developed the evaluation work plan and
communication/reporting strategy.
