What's Working in Community Development Conference June 2008

- If you are interested, please visit the international webpage about the Raging Grannies. You can join the e-vine that gives updates about various events throughout Canada and the United States. As well, you can read about the origins of the Raging Grannies in a book by Carole Roy, who was also a presenter at the conference.
- Your conference registration included a one-year membership to IACD (unless you specified otherwise).For information about IACD please visit their website. The newly re-launched website includes spaces for blogs and discussion forums, and will be used to consult members when IACD is developing position papers for consultations with the United Nations, the World Health Organization, and the International Labour Organization. We encourage you to share your perspectives with IACD and with other community development workers and thinkers around the world.
- Our 2009 day planner entitled "Celebrating Communities Around the World" will be available in September. It features images from the celebrating community squares people created for the conference, and at its heart are the stories from the abstracts submitted for the conference. If you would like to order a copy of the dayplanner, please download the Day Planner Order Form. Proceeds from the sales of the 2009 day planner will go to IACD.
